CEO, Director of Operations

Darren Davis, R.Ph, is a 1989 graduate of University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Pharmacy. Darren worked as a pharmacist for 4 years, and served as the administrator of elite treatment centers for the last 20 years. As a recovering professional himself, Darren shares an interest in the entire recovery process. Darren’s vision for Retreat at Sky Ridge is a place where treatment and recovery can be an enjoyable experience and one that fosters the development of real confidence in sobriety.

As our Administrator, Dwayne’s 25 years as a Licensed Addiction Counselor along with his Certification in Clinical Supervision helps support the dynamic, effective, and high-quality core programming at Retreat at Sky Ridge.

Matt Long, MA, LADAC

Matt Long, MA, LADAC

Clinical Director

Matt earned his MA in Addiction Psychology from The Hazelden School of Addiction Studies in 2010. He is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (LADAC) through the State of Arkansas Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. Matt also trained as a SMART Recovery Professional and a Certified Addiction Interventionist (CAI) through the ARISE Network. Matt utilizes Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Techniques to build therapeutic rapport in individual and group settings. Matt makes a personal existential connection with each of his clients using his personal experience and scientific approaches to help others struggling with addiction.

Nadia White, RN, BSN

Nadia White, RN, BSN

Director of Nursing

Nadia is a University of Arkansas graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has extensive experience in Acute Psychiatric and Acute Medical settings, working with individuals through periods in their lives when they were at their most critical exacerbations of physical illness, mental illness, and addiction. Nadia is dedicated to providing quality holistic care through current scientific and evidence-based practices for substance abuse and addiction treatment.

Mary Dougherty

Mary Dougherty

Director of Admissions

With nearly eight years free from addiction and in recovery herself, Mary uses her experience to help others find a path forward, free from alcoholism and addiction. She is well aware of the genuine struggle deep inside those of us with a chemical dependency – trying to hide active use while also attempting to maintain some semblance of normality at work and home. Enough is enough. The road to recovery is unique to the individual, and we are ready to help you find yours.

Christy Clement, LMSW

Christy Clement, LMSW

Counselor

Christy received her MSW from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 2016. Christy is a licensed social worker through the Arkansas Social Work Board. Christy practices Rational emotive behavioral therapy, cogitative behavioral therapy and has completed SMART Recovery training. Christy connects with clients by using personal family experiences to help clients and family members who struggle with the issues caused by addiction and substance abuse.

James Burnside , BS, CARSS-1

James Burnside , BS, CARSS-1

Recreational/Adventure Therapist

James, aka “Burnie,” earned his BS in Public Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. James is a Certified Adaptive Recreation & Sports Specialist Level 1 and has trained in SMART Recovery. He has worked for 24 years in sports, recreation, adaptive therapy and uses personal experiences to help people get the natural elements in their body balanced via various physical and mental activities. Burnie shares his enthusiasm and experience with the hopes of having a positive impact and helping others create positive change and become better all-around people. Adventure therapy awaits!
