CEO, Director of Operations

Darren Davis, R.Ph, is a 1989 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Pharmacy. Darren worked as a pharmacist for four years and served as the administrator of elite treatment centers for the last 20 years. As a recovering professional himself, Darren shares an interest in the entire recovery process. Darren’s vision for Retreat at Sky Ridge is a place where treatment and recovery can be an enjoyable experience and one that fosters the development of real confidence in sobriety.

As our Administrator, Dwayne’s 25 years as a Licensed Addiction Counselor, along with his Certification in Clinical Supervision, helps support the dynamic, effective, and high-quality core programming at Retreat at Sky Ridge.

Matt Long, MA, CADC

Matt Long, MA, CADC

Clinical Director

Matt earned his MA in Addiction Psychology from The Hazelden School of Addiction Studies in 2010. He is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (CADC) through the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board. Matt also trained as a SMART Recovery Professional and a Certified Addiction Interventionist (CAI) through the ARISE Network. Matt utilizes Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Techniques to build therapeutic rapport in individual and group settings. Matt makes a personal existential connection with each of his clients using his personal experience and scientific approaches to help others struggling with addiction.

Dr. David Hammond, MD, FASAM

Medical Director

Dr. Hammond is the driving force behind the comprehensive medical care at
Retreat At SkyRidge, our residential drug and alcohol treatment center. With
extensive experience as an ASAM credentialed Addictionologist, he possesses
a profound understanding of addiction and recovery intricacies. Dr.
Hammond’s commitment extends to overseeing every aspect of our clients’
medical journeys, from critical intake assessments through detoxification
and discharge. His expertise and compassion play pivotal roles in ensuring
our clients’ well-being and success on the path to enduring recovery. Dr.
Hammond earned his MD from LSU Medical School and holds an undergraduate
degree from Tulane University.

Nadia White, RN, BSN

Nadia White, RN, BSN

Director of Nursing

Nadia is a University of Arkansas graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has extensive experience in Acute Psychiatric and Acute Medical settings, working with individuals through periods in their lives when they were at their most critical exacerbations of physical illness, mental illness, and addiction. Nadia is dedicated to providing quality holistic care through current scientific and evidence-based practices for substance abuse and addiction treatment.

Rachel Gabbard, BSW, LSW

Therapist

Rachel is a Licensed Social Worker who has been working in the recovery field since 2017. Rachel strives to make a difference in the community for those battling addiction. At Retreat At SkyRidge she will assist individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders to receive the support and resources they need to move forward in sobriety. Rachel is the Arkansas Regional Coordinator for SMART Recovery and a trained Professional Facilitator. Rachel has a bachelors in social work, with a minor in substance use disorders, from the University of Arkansas. As a trained social worker, she brings a wealth of insight and evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, and Person-Centered Therapy to the role. In addition, Rachels lived experiences give her a keen understanding of the barriers present and a commitment to overcoming them with kind and compassionate service.

Assistant Administrator

Kristina is the well-organized administrative first line for Retreat at Sky Ridge that handles pre-screens, insurance claims, and any other task that comes her way. Kristinas life experience affords her the passion for serving others in the recovery and addiction field. Her 10+ years of experience in Health Care as a CNA and Administrator allows her to support the Administration, Clinical, and Medical disciplines of Retreat at Sky Ridge while also supporting patients on their road to Recovery. Kristina has been an integral part of Retreat at Sky Ridge since 2020.

Executive Chef

Our Executive Chef Erin has been cooking delicious food for 25 years. A native of South Louisiana, Chef Erin was born and raised in the heart of Cajun Country, with culinary stops at some of the finest restaurants in New Orleans, Minneapolis, and Saint Paul. Chef Erin brings his Cajun flare and top-notch cuisine to Retreat at Sky Ridge, along with a holistic approach that will fit anyones palate. Chef Erin is certified as a SMART Recovery Facilitator, Dopamine Nutrition, and Mindfulness Meditation. Erin uses his personal experience in recovery to connect with each patient and meet nutritional, dietary, and recovery needs. With culinary competition Gold medals and World Gumbo Cookoff titles under his belt, sharing time with Chef Erin for kitchen therapy sessions could be an integral part of your recovery. Erin brings his energy and passion for healing and food wherever he goes.
Shannon Clark, BSE, CIT-B, CARSS-II

Recreational Therapist

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas State University. His extensive background in Coaching and Recreational Therapy brings a wealth of experience to our center. Shannon excels in guiding our clients through the transformative power of exposure therapy and engaging outings, emphasizing the joy of sobriety through activities like ziplining, kayaking, bowling, and much more. Shannon’s therapeutic approach combines Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and SMART Recovery techniques, enabling clients to pinpoint areas of personal growth and embark on a fulfilling path to recovery. His steadfast commitment to nurturing a supportive and enriching environment perfectly complements our holistic approach to addiction treatment. Shannon is also a trained SMART Recovery Professional, a Certified Adaptive Recreation and Sports Specialist, and a Counselor in Training, further enhancing his ability to empower clients in their recovery journeys.
