Transform Your Life With Fitness Therapy

The connection between a successful recovery and improved physical fitness is well-documented; staying active is a core component of our treatment philosophy. We know that regular exercise increases the production of endorphins and is proven to reduce cravings. Regular cardio exercise is also linked to neurogenesis or ‘brain cell growth,’ which is believed to elevate mood and help relieve symptoms associated with many mood disorders.

Change Your Fitness Habits For A Stronger Recovery

At Retreat at Sky Ridge, we offer fitness therapy to restore mental clarity, reclaim physical strength and relieve stress in an uplifting and healthy manner. Our approach is not a standard one. Much of what we make available leverages the physical spaces in and around the property. Our campus spans one hundred thirty acres, features natural springs, creeks, and two spring-fed fishing ponds. No matter your fitness level, we will work with you to develop a fitness regimen that supports your recovery and overall well-being.

Practical Solutions Beyond Treatment

We believe that every person is different, and we offer a choice of activities that take into account your abilities and what stage of recovery you have reached.

Personal training options are also available, including:

  • Cardio fitness
  • Aerobics
  • Weight Lifting
  • Pilates
  • Running
  • Resistance Training
  • Other forms of Fitness Therapy

Mountain Biking

Mountain bike journeys are one of the most popular activities that we do. Supervised and guided by experienced riders, small groups are led through some of the most beautiful trails in Northwest Arkansas. You can work on endurance while enjoying the many mental benefits of fresh air and beautiful landscape scenery. Mountain biking is an ideal fitness therapy because it builds leg strength, optimizes fat burning, and works the cardiovascular system.
